To enable us to service the full requirements of our existing customer base,
as well as expanding into new markets, our own manufacturing company Acorn Precision Machining Ltd.(APM) was formed in 1997.
Originally set up to supply small batches of specialized turned parts at competitive prices,
whilst having full control of lead times, we quickly expanded as the demand for all types of machined components increased.
As Acorn Precision Machining Ltd. sells much of its production through Acorn Fasteners Ltd. we are able to hold stocks of machined components and deliver them against scheduled orders or on a Direct Line Feed system which is a service that very few manufacturers are prepared or capable of offering. The machining services we are currently able to offer include; C.N.C milling on our Bridgeport VMC 600 Vertical Machining Centre and CNC Turning on our Mazak SQT 10MS machining centre. Production runs of turned parts on EMI-MEC Autos, with the added flexibility of producing small batch runs on our manual lathes, milling machines and drills.
